The Psychology department provides comprehensive mental health support through counseling and psychotherapy services. The department works closely with other medical specialties to ensure holistic patient care, addressing both psychological and physical well-being.
The psychiatry department runs an out-patient clinic from Monday to Friday between 10 am and 1.00 pm. It is a well-accepted truth that psychological management of physical illness makes the healing faster. Hence the department of clinical psychology works hand-in-hand with other Departments of this hospital.

Dr H.C Shafna Azeez is a skilled Psychologist. She completed her bachelor degree from Vimala College, Thrissur in BA.And also MS in counseling psychology from Nirmala College, Thrissur .She completed a certification course on Lifelong learner course in counseling from MG University, Kottayam.

Currently she is pursuing Msc in Clinical psychology.She is experienced in dealing with career counseling, Family counseling, Student counseling, Spiritual counseling etc.She honoured honorary doctorate in Psychology from Royal American University. Also she is worked in National human rights & Humilitarian Federation as a National co-ordinator & counselling psychologist.She has a 7 years of experience in Counseling psychology field .
She has been running her own clinic which is named as Psych Journey for 3 years.
